Golden sands

Zlatni Piasaci (Golden Sands) is one of the oldest and most popular sea resort on the Bulgarian coast. It is just 18 km. north of Bulgaria's sea capital Varna on a picturesque bay.
Zlatni Piasaci is declared a reserve area since 1943. Its territory covers 177,13 hectares. The unique combination of the mild climate and sea water has influenced the flora and fauna in the complex. The climate is similar to those of the Mediterranean resorts. Sunbathing is possible even from the end of May. The average temperature during the summer is around 27 ° C. The beach area is 3.8 km. long and 100 m wide at some points and is covered with fine golden sand. There are 2 mineral springs rising from the beach with temperature about 24 ° C and are believed to cure asthma, arthritis, neurosis etc.
